Toe Nail Fungus (Onychomycosis)

Toe Nail Fungus (Onychomycosis)

Onychomycosis is a fungal infection of the toenails or finger-nails which causes discolouration and disfigurement. The nails may also thicken and split. Without treatment, it is not uncommon for the toenails to become so thick that they press against the inside of the shoes, causing pressure, irritation and pain. Half of all nail disorders are caused by onychomycosis and it is the most common nail disease in adults. Here at the instant laser clinic we have adopted the latest laser treatment to get rid of this nasty nail disease for good! There is no need to feel embarrassed because of unsightly nails anymore. Our nail laser treatment is a new alternative to oral medication and it has no side effects. The treatment works by using a short pulsed 1,064 nm laser which inhibits Trichphyton rubrum growth in vitro due to high temperature dependence. The laser pulses reach the nail plate, nail bed and surrounding structures. A course of 3 treatments are required with a month interval in between sessions.
