What is the Excimer 308nm UVB Laser?

The Excimer 308nm UVB laser is cutting-edge laser technology that delivers a specific wavelength of ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation to effectively treat pigment disorders.*

Quick and painless, the laser works on your treatment area with extreme precision, keeping your surrounding healthy skin safe.*

    *Individual results may vary.

    How does it work?

Depending on your skin condition, we will carefully calibrate the amount of UV to be delivered. Then we apply the Excimer 308nm handpiece to precisely focus a cool beam of ultraviolet light to only the affected area.

With visible results after only one session and no downtime, you can get back to your day as soon as you walk out our clinic doors.*

    *Individual results may vary.

    What are the side-effects?

The sensation of the Excimer laser treatment is often described as similar to the snap of a thin rubber band, with many opting for no anaesthetic.

Some people experience a slight reddening of the treatment area after the session. However, this naturally resolves in a few minutes to several days – depending on your skin sensitivity.*

    Occasionally, some patients experience:

    ›  Blistering
    ›  Burning
    ›  Erythema
    ›  Oedema

However, these are usually confined to the treatment site.*

    *Individual results may vary.

    What are the risks?

Selecting the right UV settings to treat your pigmentary disorder is crucial. That’s why we always take a full medical history during your consultations to evaluate suitability. Some of the side effects or associated risks could be; skin irritation, redness, swelling, peeling, skin pigmentation and soreness, 1-5 days after the procedure.*

    *Individual results may vary.

How many treatments will I need?

Depending on the condition, a course of treatments will be recommended for you during your consultations. Weekly or bi-weekly sessions are indicated for best results.

However, everyone’s skin is different. That’s why we’ll recommend a personalised treatment regime that’s right for you and your skin.

    How long does it last?
