    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Sinon Ruby laser tattoo removal?

The Sinon Ruby laser at 694 nm wavelength penetrates deep beneath the surface of your skin to target pigments that other laser treatments can’t remove.* It is designed to help your body’s immune system break down ink and pigmentation and eliminating those microscopic particles through the body’s natural lymphatic system.*

    *Individual results may vary.

    How does it work?

The Ruby laser is operated by our highly qualified laser clinician, who utilise the short nanosecond pulses to break apart tattoo or skin pigments in the affected area.

The ink/melanin (pigmentation) gradually filters out of your body through your immune system.

    Contraindications include

    ›  Hypopigmentation
›  Recent UV exposure to the affected area
    ›  Light sensitive medication
    ›  Keloid scarring

Please ensure you disclose your full medical history to your practitioner during your initial consultation as some medications or medical conditions will affect your eligibility for treatment.

    What are the side-effects?

The following may be experienced post-treatment however downtime usually subsides within 5-20 days.*

    ›  Redness
    ›  Bruising
    ›  Pinpoint bleeding
    ›  Sensitivity
    ›  Dull skin
    ›  Blistering
    ›  Temporary discoloration
    ›  Inflammation

How many treatments will I need?

    For tattoos:

The number of treatments you require will depend on the age of tattoo, amount and type of ink present; professional tattoos may take approximately 4-10 treatments, whilst amateur tattoos may require less treatment.* All colours can be treated, however some elicit a better response; this will be discussed with your clinician in consultation.

    For pigmentary conditions:

The number of treatments will depend on the size and type of pigmentation of your treatment area.

Natural pigmentation such as benign lesions, freckles, sunspots and birthmarks have a high success rate and can generally be treated in 1-3 treatments with a month interval in between sessions.*
