The number of treatments required will vary with each individual, depending on the extent of visible varicosities and spider veins. A number of 1-4 treatments with intervals of 6-8 weeks can be expected.

You should be aware that your treated veins would look worse before they begin to look better. After treatment, you will notice bruising and reddish areas at the laser treated sites. The bruises will diminish within one month. In many cases, there may be some residual brownish pigmentation which may take up to a year to completely fade.

Varicose veins differ from spider veins in a number of ways. Varicose veins are larger - usually more than a quarter-inch in diameter - darker in color and tend to bulge. Varicose veins are also more likely to cause pain and be related to more serious vein disorders. To treat varicose veins, sclerotherapy may be recommended for some patients. However, surgical treatment is often necessary for this condition. Unfortunately, laser is unable to treat large varicose veins.

At the "Instant Laser Clinic", our goal is to help you feel as comfortable as possible with any cosmetic procedure you are considering. We welcome you to explore all your cosmetic options.
