Testing and Clinical Trials
Dermagenetics™ lab will measure your genetic propensity for collagen breakdown; photo aging; wrinkling; skin aging; their skin's ability to tolerate environment pollutants; and their overall skin health.
The test can be carried out at home by an individual, but is more often performed by a healthcare or skincare professional. Everything you need is supplied by Dermagenetics in the easy-to-use sample kit.
The test is a painless swab of the inside of the inside of the both cheeks, and takes only a few seconds. Send the cotton swabs back to Dermagenetics' lab in the supplied bar-coded envelopes and sent to the GeneLink Lab in the USA for analysis .You're done! The process takes just a few minutes. Using the results of that test, a custom formulation night renewal anti-wrinkle cream is blended and sent to the client. The process takes about 3 to 4 weeks.

A recent eight week, double-blind, randomized and controlled clinical study compared the performance of placebo crème versus the performance of the Dermagenetics “genetically guided” crème containing active ingredients formulated for each participant. Utilizing GeneLink’s patent pending Dermagenetics™ Profile Assessment, thirty-one women were genetically pre-screened and provided with individualized formulations linked to their genetic predispositions.
For those using the genetically guided formulations, 62% reported substantial reduction in the appearance of wrinkles after 14 days of treatment. After 56 days, the number of participants reporting reduction in the appearance of wrinkles rose to 70%. Similarly, after 14 days, 56% of the participants indicated improved skin-firmness and after eight weeks of treatment those with improvements in skin-firmness rose to 70%.
The trial included physiological measurements in skin firmness, wrinkle reduction, skin moisture, skin tone, skin suppleness, and skin pigment uniformity.

About The Test
The test is NOT a full DNA analysis of the type used in criminal forensics. It can NOT be used to identify a specific individual as, across the five genes, there are only a few hundred possible SNP combinations. The DNA samples are NOT retained by the laboratory, and are destroyed once the test has been completed. Dermagenetics was independently trialled. The test is not intended to indicate any health state, or to diagnose any disease. Its results are merely used as handbottlea guide to help formulate a skin cream specific to that individual.
FORMULATION
At the special laboratory a scientifically selected panel of SNPs is analyzed. The SNP technology is so precise that each assay measures only one unit of DNA out of 3 billion units! The Dermagenetics™ SNP panel incorporates an analysis of key skin health genes which code for enzymes that are part of our natural skin cell repair and defense mechanisms.
Testing is performed confidentially via an anonymous numerical bar code system, The laboratory does not know the identity of the person being tested and all samples are destroyed after testing is completed.
Products are then formulated by adding the individual's ideal active ingredients to an exceptional base formula. The finished product is then shipped to you, with an individual label containing each person's name and bar coding number. A listing of the unique product ingredients is also included.
