How quickly will I see results and are there any side effects?

One treatment with the Affirm system takes approximately 15-20 minutes. We do recommend a course of 4-6 treatments spaced 3-6 weeks apart. Most patients see significant improvement within 3-4 treatments. Short-term side effects can include transient redness, and tan or dusky appearance of the skin.

Affirm's array is consists of approximately 1,000 diffractive elements per centimeter square to affect more surface area per single pulse. CAP technology within Affirm, delivers "apex" pulses of high fluence regions for collagen remodeling, surrounded by a low fluence collagen stimulating treatment zone. This combined action improves treatment efficacy, while minimizing the side effects experienced with existing methods. How much does it hurt?

The majority of treatments with the Affirm are performed using the SmartCool air cooling system. Four out of five patients treated with the Affirm system do not request topical anesthesia.
